Black Market

The Phiela City black market is an underground network of shady merchants, greedy pawnbrokers, soulless gunrunners and dodgy drugdealers. The precise location of these merchants and shops is constantly changing in order to avoid interference by the Phiela Security Division (PSD) police forces.

A central database of the current location of black market vendors is maintained by unknown individuals. Access to this black market database is tightly controlled by the use of encrypted, time-limited access codes, which are distributed on data discs to potential clients. In order to purchase the rare and powerful (and often illegal) items available on the black market, players must obtain one of these black market access code discs, which can be looted in certain actions and missions.

A player may attempt a bribe in order to view recent Black Market purchases by other colonists. Each bribe attempt costs รพ250, and has a chance of failure (success rate is partially dependent on a colonist's Influence level). If successful, the 25 latest Black Market purchases will be displayed. Note that once you leave the Black Market page, you will not be able to see the purchase history on subsequent visits without succeeding with another bribe.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • The stock of items available in the Black Market shop changes at random times.
  • Black Market [BM] items - {note this wiki uses the abbreviation (BM) for functional reasons} have the same properties and statistics as identically named ones without the BM indicator.
  • The only real difference game-wise is, an item with the BM indicator has been bought from the Black Market and can not be looted, sold to other players, or given to others.
  • If there isn't a BM indicator, then the item can be lost to looting if it is not equipped, and can be gifted or sold to others. This applies to ALL things bought from the Black Market, weapons, armor, and drugs. They can't be looted, but they can't be sold or given to others, either.
