Mechanics is a skill that is key to the fabrication of certain Tools and manufactured Components. Specifically, increased Mechanics ability improves the probability of success in fabricating items like Sheet Metal - Iron, Sheet Metal - Steel, Advanced Shelving and ServoShovels. Fabrication of these components and tools also increases this skill (you learn by doing).
